Cable wakeboarding is extreme sport combining elements of slalom, jumps and acrobatics.

In wakeboarding are two disciplines: wakeboarding behind motor boat and wakeboarding under cable (cable wakeboarding).

What difference between wakeboarding behind motor boat and cable wakeboarding?

Wakeboarding behind motor boat - movement of athlete on water happens with help of motor boat, where motor boat creates wave and athlete has an opportunity to perform acrobatic tricks. Such type of wakeboarding is more expensive for the end user. It is connected with maintenance of motor boat, salary payment to captain, large expenditure on fuel.

Cable wakeboarding is the most popular type of wakeboarding in Latvia and Europe. It is connected with environmental friendliness and profitability. Movement of athlete on water happens with help of reversible electric winch. Automated cable system by means of steel rope drags athlete on water. Usually reverse circle is equal to length of 400 meters. In majority of wake parks under rope are installed figures for performance of acrobatic tricks (springboards, sliders and others).
